Now, let’s have the editor introduce the advantages and disadvantages of the fire-tube boiler to you.

Advantages
The structure is simple, the overall machine cost and installation expenses are lower, and maintenance is convenient. Just open the smoke box to clean the accumulated dust and inspect the smoke pipe.
The internal water volume of the pot shell is large, with strong heat storage capacity. The production gas consumption fluctuates greatly, the steam pressure fluctuates little, and the gas supply is stable.
The ignition and temperature rise are fast, and steam can be produced in about half an hour. It is suitable for intermittent start-up and frequent start-stop scenarios.
It has lenient requirements for water quality. Slight scaling will not immediately cause pipe burst risks, and less investment is needed for water treatment.
The vertical model takes up a small area and can be placed in small factories and basements. It requires fewer auxiliary machines.

Disadvantage
The pressure-bearing capacity is limited, with the maximum pressure generally not exceeding 2.5MPa and the evaporation volume is mostly within 10 tons per hour, which cannot meet the demands of large-scale and high-pressure production.
The heat exchange area of flue gas is limited, the flue gas temperature is high, the thermal efficiency is lower than that of water-tube boilers, and the fuel consumption is higher in the long term.
The pot shell is made of thick steel plates, and the whole machine is heavy, which has certain requirements for the load-bearing capacity of the factory building foundation.
It stores a large amount of high-temperature and high-pressure water inside. Once it overpressure or lacks water and explodes, it will release a large amount of energy and pose a higher safety hazard.
When the tonnage exceeds 10 tons per hour, the volume and self-weight of the equipment increase significantly, and the comprehensive usage cost is far lower than that of water-tube boilers.

Scope of application
It is mostly used in small food factories, printing and dyeing workshops, hotel laundries, small processing plants, and places with low pressure requirements and intermittent steam supply.
